Since 1996 (the 2008-2009 season will be our 13th season!) SkiNorthCarolina.com and our network of pro-Southeastern Ski Areas websites (SkiSoutheast.com, SkiNorthCarolina.com and HighCountryWebcams.com) have established ourselves as being THE NUMBER ONE, most visited ski web presence in the eastern United States.

Over the first twelve seasons of our existence, (from our creation through April 1, 2008 our ski network has received 70,445,589 unique visitors for an average of more than 81,000 unique visitors per day during the 150+ days of each ski season!

That is an amazing growth since our humble beginnings in 1996-1997 when we were ecstatic at seeing 200 unique visitors per day!  We owe our growth NOT to our own ideas and game planning, but simply put to our audience that can't seem to get enough news about what's happening in North Carolina and the Southeast as it applies to snow skiing, snowboarding and more.

We experienced our highest trafficked season during the 2005-2006 season (a particularly snowy one for much of the area) when we experienced 14,782,112 unique visitors, according to Urchin Stats.

The 2007-2008 season was a sub par season for snowfall across the region and nevertheless we still saw 14,218,198 visitors during the 140+ day season (more than 101,000 visitors per day).

The reason? We are the ONLY presence providing all of the photos daily, on snow reports, live webcams, great lodging and dining and more.  People just can't get enough!

What makes our average of 101,000 visitors per day even more astonishing is that those figures take into consideration slower midweek days, lull periods and more.  Actually during particularly snowier days...we saw peaks of over 180,000 visitors in a day.

SkiNorthCarolina.com and SkiSoutheast.com have become THE source that people in the region depend on for accurate, honest assessments as to the conditions and weather at the various ski areas. We have more than 60 television stations in 9 states that use our data, live cams, morning ski reports and more. Additionally there are countless newspapers and websites that are linked to our morning slope conditions making us the definitive website for all things skiing in the Southeast and Mid Atlantic.

Most every ski area in the region will attest to the fact that we are THEIR number one referrer of traffic the their own websites.
